Optimise4 in the Healthcare Sector - Executive Coaching and Mentoring
Objective: The Company's accountants were not confident that the Company was 'an ongoing concern'. The brief was to develop the MD's skills and to produce a business plan that would win their bankers confidence in the business model and in the management team.
Activity: A programme of Executive Coaching and Mentoring support was provided to the Managing Director to develop his management skills, to address the credibility issues facing the business and create a strategy for business expansion. An Executive search was initiated for an Operations Director and a Finance Director. Corporate Governance procedures were put in place.
Services: An Optimise4 Associate worked one to one with the Managing Director to nurture his strengths and address his weaknesses. A business model was put in place through a series of face to face and telephone based meetings.
Outcome: The bank made available 10M GBP to finance business expansion. Being debt finance on the back of an interest rate swap meant the shareholders equity was not diluted and the cost of money is fixed until 2013. This was secured during the 2008 credit crunch. Operations and Finance Directors were hired.
Value: No equity dilution. The consolidation of group operations is now well advanced positioning the Company for additional acquisitions in 2010. The Business Plan will see shareholders exit within 5 years and the Optimise4 Associate has been retained by the Company to help achieve their dream.
