Operational Effectiveness Workshop

South West Based Leading Care and Development Provider - Operational effectiveness workshop and consultancy

Objective: To improve organisational effectiveness of alignment of project activities to strategic goals, commitment of the organisation to implementation plans and subsequently by delivering better efficiency through process management.

Activity: The project was divided into 3 phases described as understanding the business context, developing the goals and objectives, and then sustaining improvement activity with coaching and development.

Services:
Initial investigations were completed through structured interviews, process mapping and a fresh approach to data analysis. The next phase included a senior management team workshop to gain alignment of the strategic intent. The ongoing final phase focuses primarily on implementing new management governance routines with the supportive communication practices.

Outcome: The organisation has developed a common clarity of purpose, focussed efforts on a small number of critical projects and implemented governance routines to improve management control.

Value: Through understanding the values of the organisation the consultancy program was able to leverage its own business acumen within a critical service based environment. The skill was to balance the complex needs of service users, carers and trustees. In essence 'adding value through shared values'.
